“If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” —Robert Capa
My name is Rachel Lee and I've been working with cameras since 2006. In high school, I had a digital camera I used to take pictures of friends and special school events. I was also a member of the school newspaper and I spent a lot of time in front of the camera at a local photography studio due to cheerleading and Pop Chorus. During college, I continued to explore portrait and landscape photography, and eventually practiced a bit of videography as well. In 2017, I picked up my first DSLR camera and began aggressively studying photography as a career.
I enrolled at the New York Institute of Photography in 2019 and have completed all courses—including The Fundamentals of Digital Photography, Business for Photographers, and Professional Photography courses as of April 27, 2024. From January 2019 to December 2019, I ran the photo booth for the family events hosted by the AFIT Spouses Association (ASPA). In October 2019, I photographed the Cincinnati WALK to end Hydrocephalus and ran the photo booth for team photos.
